Lei Cha, a popular beverage among the Hakka people in Taiwan, is prepared by grinding a mix of ingredients into a fine paste, which is then blended with hot water to create a green, soup-like drink. This blend includes:

Tea Leaves: Green tea, oolong, or matcha.

Herbs: Basil, mint, coriander, and mugwort.

Nuts and Seeds: Peanuts, sesame seeds, and pine nuts.

Grains and Legumes: Rice, mung beans, soybeans, and lentils.
In this class, attendees will receive hands-on experience in "grinding" the tea paste and enjoy a tasting session. Sally will also explore the history of Lei Cha and its broader cultural impact, including the Tea Song and Tea Dance.
Note: Individuals with nut allergies are advised not to attend.
